This picture is typically what you will see in the windows of the restaurants all over Japan. As you can see they like eggs and they seem to be on most everything.
I will have to explain our first time we really knew we were not in America. We had decided to explore the city by the hotel where we stayed for the first two days. We had walked past the 30th place to eat and decided to stop in a stand-up noodle bar. There were pictures of the food on the walls with numbers next to them. So although we had little idea of what we were eating we could at least order by number.
Well this worked fine as long as everywhere we went there were numbers but we soon realized that this was not the case. The next place we decided to go to this became painfully apparent. We walked in, stood staring at a menu that was completely in Japanese writing, and what NO NUMBERS, How are you supposed to order without numbers. Well barring anymore embarrassment we decided to eat at the convenience store.
